As a part of our Operation: Walking with Warriors, Promise will be matched with a
deserving veteran as a companion animal, free of charge.
In fall 2018, we were alerted to a dog in extreme distress, broken of body and spirit,
left to die, alone and scared.
We named her Promise.
Promise was found abandoned in a home filled with evidence of dog fighting. Our sweet Promise survived being bred several times and endured injuries and suffering we cannot even imagine. She was found in terrible shape - emaciated, with puncture wounds, a semi-healed leg fracture, and infection throughout her body. It was then that we made a promise to her of a better life, with no more suffering. Our amazing foster family brought her to now...with determination, care, fortitude, some tears and immense love.
Promise has completed basic obedience training and loves to learn. She has a permanent bend in her front leg, from the untreated leg fracture. But don't worry...it doesn't slow her down at all! Promise must be an only pet. She can be skittish around loud noises and quick movements, so he forever home will be one without small children.
Promise is looking for a veteran that she can love and support forever. A veteran that will love and support her forever.
She will fulfill her destiny, her promise.....
All applicants will be considered regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, HIV/AIDS status, physical or mental disability.
R&R will keep your entire application confidential. Your video and written application will become the property of Rescued & Ready Inc.
